APARTMENT INTERIOR IZTOK SOFIA

The 67 sq m apartment is located in a building built in 1958 and since then no repairs have been made to it. The project transforms 1-bedroom apartment to 2-bedroom one. Originally available: living room with glazed terrace, bedroom, bathroom with tub and kitchen in separate room with second glazed terrace. The functional transformation took place in:
- extending the living room by inserting a part of the terrace into the room in the form of a relaxing lounge area with a pleasant view of a green, quiet area with deciduous trees that provide coolness during the summer and light in the winter; the separate small terrace is again glazed but with sliding windows, so that it is a buffer for the cold in the winter and open to the greenery during the summer;
- extending the living room to the adjoining bedroom so as to provide space for the kitchen area; - On the place of the old kitchen, a new bedroom was built, as the whole former terrace was added to the room; - a small part of the former kitchen is separated to expand the hall so as to achieve a pleasant feeling of space immediately upon entering the apartment and to remain a place for storage furniture there;
- in the bathroom the bath was replaced by a shower niche with a glass screen;
- a niche for a washing machine and dryer is located next to the bathroom;
- All the niches were mastered as storage furniture unobtrusively entered in the premises, including a chest under the lounge (in the living room), which is also accessible from the small terrace by an openable part in the window frames. Another functional advantage is the feeding table that expands by sliding.
